From Polluted Water to Safe Drinking Water
Polluted surface water, brackish (well) water or sea water are often the only available water sources for people without a connection to a safe water supply system. This applies to a great deal to rural communities in remote areas of underdeveloped countries, refugee camps, emergency hospitals and areas where the infrastructure is damaged by floods, earthquakes and human interventions.
The good news: it is possible to treat practically any type of water in a cost efficient way so it becomes safe drinking water.
